Living in Edinburgh
Here at MGA we are proud and delighted to offer excellent training and performing opportunities from one of the most beautiful locations in the world! You’ll find that Edinburgh is full of friendly faces and endless things to do and see.
The City
Edinburgh is a lively mix of historical and modern, from the Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle through to high street stores and local boutiques. And this being Scotland, great food and drink is never far away. If you want to escape the city buzz then the stunning Scottish coastline and countryside is right at your doorstep.
The city offers a range a residential options, and we have a great bus service, a central train station and airport, making travel into Edinburgh from UK locations, European cities and the rest of the world easy.
And don’t forget that Edinburgh is home to the greatest Performing Arts festival on the planet! During August you can enjoy the crazy carnival atmosphere of the Festivals, and even catch a performance from MGA – that’s if you’re not already in the show yourself!
During our time providing excellent performing arts training in Scotland, MGA has built up strong relationships with residents of Edinburgh and the surrounding area. So training with us is so much more than an ‘ordinary’ student experience – you will end up meeting the locals, and loving our city. In fact you might not want to leave!
Accommodation

As well as the ordinary rental market in Edinburgh, MGA students are able to apply for accommodation in one of the iQ student developments. These blocks of ensuite rooms and apartments are furnished to extremely high standards, and are conveniently located very close to MGA. Whether you want to live like a king or in something slightly more low-key, iQ can offer you a student home to suit both lifestyle and budget. Find out more information and how to apply for iQ buildings on the iQ website.
MGA does not have any on-campus accommodation but will assist all students upon successful entry to a course by placing them in contact with local providers of student accommodation and private landlords. If you would like more information on accommodation in Edinburgh, contact the MGA office.
